What methods of payment are accepted on SHOPICO.ca?
We accept:
- VISA;
- Mastercard;
- and VISA Debit.
I’ve lost my username and/or password, what do I need to do?
If you forgot your username, when logging in, click "Forget Username?" and follow instructions.
If you forgot your password, when logging in, click "Forget Password?" and you will have to fill in your username and email. Then, it will ask you to answer your security question (be aware that it is case sensitive with upper and lower cases). After, you can change your password and proceed with your purchase.
If you are still encountering issues, please write to [email protected] and include your name, e-mail, username and date of birth in your request.

With a limited quantity of certificates and an unlimited amount of customers online, unfortunately, some popular gift certificates may sell out in just a few seconds.
Will I be able to print my certificate at home?
Each offer has an icon beside its description that refers to the type of certificates associated to it.
For example: electronic or printable certificates are each indicated by a printer, whereas the shipped certificates have a small envelope next to them.
Please note that the printable (electronic) gift certificates are not available for all offers. It is the merchant's decision to use this option or not.
I purchased an electronic gift certificate, but I did not receive it by e-mail. How do I proceed?
Electronic gift certificates are not sent by e-mail.
In order to retrieve your electronic gift certificates:
- Log in.
- Click "Profile"
- Click ‘’View Orders’’
- Select E-certificates
- Find your order number you wish to print.
- Click on ‘’print certificate’’ to open the Print window and print your gift certificate.
How much does delivery cost?
For each transaction, $5 will be charged for delivery in Quebec.
For each transaction, $1 will be charged for delivery in the Maritimes.
Please note that it is the consumer's responsibility to ensure that his or her mailing address is correct before completing the transaction. Fees are applicable for any change of address or any re-shipping.

How long does the mail delivery take?
All gift certificates are mailed using the Canada Post Expedited Parcel* service. Usually, the package is delivered within the next 3 working days following purchase. There are no other delivery options. Please note: once your purchase(s) are mailed, we cannot be held responsible for delays with Canada Post.
*Please note that shipping from the Maritimes is by regular mail, and can take up to 5 to 7 business days for delivery.

*Please note that due to Covid-19, our staff is authorized to visit our offices once a week to process mailings. Paper gift certificates are therefore mailed every Thursday for purchases made from the previous Thursday to the following Wednesday.
Are taxes included in the value of your gift certificates?
You will find all the relevant taxes’ information in the details of the offer you have selected.
Can I return my purchase?
No. All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds.
Can I create or edit my profile?
You will be invited to create a profile once purchasing a certificate. Simply follow the instructions. If you would like to edit your profile (credit card information, delivery address, etc.), click on ‘’Profile", on the right hand top page, after you've logged in.
I want to delete my profile. What information do I need to send you?
We only need the complete name associated to the profile and your birth date (for identification purposes only). You will then receive an e-mail from us confirming the deletion.
Is your site secure?
All information concerning payments is analyzed via an encrypted secure banking portal. Your credit card information is never stored on our servers. In addition, under no circumstances will we sell, or rent your information to a third party, including merchants from whom you have purchased an offer.

Who provides your delivery service?
Delivery is provided by Canada Post** using Expedited Parcel, except in the case of SHOPICO Atlantic (using regular Canada Post).
I lost my gift certificate, is it possible to replace it?
Lost gift certificates which were sent via mail cannot be replaced or refunded, because we do not include the number of the gift certificates given to each buyer. They therefore cannot be canceled. They are treated as cash.
Can I buy more than one gift certificate in a single transaction?
Yes, you only have to choose your desired certificates from each vendor, but note that you can only buy two (2) certificates per individual offer, per transaction.
EX: Transaction XYZ (in the same transaction):
- 2 x Restaurant X ($50 for $25)
- 1 x Boutique Y ($100 for $50)
- 2 x Spa Z ($150 for $75)
- 1 x Boutique A ($50 for $25)
I want to buy all the gift certificates from the same offer? Is it possible?
No.
Purchases are limited to TWO (2) gift certificates per offer, per transaction.
I’ve completed several transactions on the same day. Can they be combined into a single delivery?
No. Delivery charges are applied automatically to each transaction if your profile contains a delivery address. To save on delivery charges, please make sure to group all your purchases together in one transaction, if possible.
I did not receive my purchases in the mail. What do I do?
You have 60 days after the date of your purchase to notify us that you have not yet received your purchases in the mail. At the end of this period, it is unfortunately no longer possible for us to track your delivery status with Canada Post. Should you fail to inform us of a purchase that has not been received within the period of 60 days after the date of purchase, all deliveries are marked as having been received and cannot be replaced, nor refunded.
The vendor has gone out of business. Can I get a refund?
Subject to applicable law, the Merchant is responsible for providing the goods or services you purchase on the Site and not Bell Media, which acts as an intermediary and not as a seller. Although Bell Media is not legally obligated to refund in the event that the Merchant refuses to honor the gift certificate in accordance with conditions specified therein or in the event that the Merchant ceases operations (including in particular in bankruptcy), Bell Media may decide, in its sole and absolute discretion, to compensate you, to offer its customers the best possible service. In such cases, a refund will only be possible in the first year after the purchase date of the gift certificate on the Site and you must necessarily send Bell Media (i) Original Gift Certificate, (ii) email purchase confirmation including the unique transaction number and (iii) a brief explanation of the facts explaining the refund request including the date of the original transaction at the following address: Shopico, 87 rue Ontario Ouest, Montréal (Québec) H2X 1Y8. Why was $0.50 charged to my credit card after making modifications to my profile?
Be assured that we will not be claiming this amount. It is simply an imprint of your credit card when you create your profile. Normally it disappears within a few days. Do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.
My credit card was charged twice when I made my purchase, why?
When you create a profile for the first time, it sometimes happens that a transaction is charged twice for VISA Desjardins users. The first amount is charged and the second amount is 'pending'. Please be assured that we will not be claiming the second amount. It is an imprint of your credit card when you create your profile for the first time. Normally, it disappears by itself in the 7 to 10 days following the transaction. If you still see this unbilled amount 2 weeks after the purchase, do not hesitate to contact us: [email protected]
Is it true that your gift certificates don’t have an expiry date?
Province of Quebec: As of June 30, 2010, the Consumer Protection Act prohibits the use of expiry dates on prepaid gift certificates. This is why our gift certificates do not have expiry dates.
Shopico Atlantic: Certificates issued for promotional purposes or sold to consumers at a discount are not prohibited from expiring.
I completed a transaction, but then I received an email telling me that it was cancelled.
If you received an email to say that your order was cancelled, it’s possible that we weren’t able to confirm your CVV code or your address related with your credit card issuer. In that case, we were forced to cancel the transaction.
What browsers is shopico.ca compatible with?
In general, the site is compatible with the two latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. We do not support Netscape, but the browser might still work in most cases.
