The Waterville Golf Club, located in the heart of the beautiful Eastern Township region, was founded in 1903 by the Gale Family under the name Bonnieview Golf Club. Mr. Gale, the father, was a businessman and visionary in the municipality of Waterville at the time. Since its construction, the Waterville Golf Club changed owners several times, until 1955 when Mr. Gérald T. Miltimore developed the business for the next 8 years.
In 1963, the Leclerc family acquired the club for 24 years. It was during these years that the course was transformed into what we know it today.
It was in 1987 that the Laval-sur-le-lac golf professional, André Maltais, became the owner of the Waterville Golf Club. Originally from the Estrie region, Mr. Maltais used his vast experience in the world of golf to modernize the course by installing the drainage and irrigation system. In order to make the course more complete and interesting, he arranged some strategic points such as the integration of trees and sand pits.
After 14 years of passionate work, Mr. Maltese passed the torch to the current owners. Thus, he allowed two fanatics of this sport to realize their dreams. It is in this same philosophy that Sylvain Riendeau and Donald St-Pierre continue the beautiful history of the Waterville Golf Club. They work tirelessly to offer you a variety of activities on a course with ideal conditions. All in a friendly atmosphere.
