What payment methods are accepted on SHOPICO.ca?

Credit cards such as: Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit.

Is SHOPICO.ca a safe and secure site?

All payment information is processed through a secure, encrypted bank payment gateway. Your banking information is not stored on our servers under any circumstances. In addition, we will not sell or rent your information to any third party, including merchants from whom you have purchased a product or service.

Where are the expiration dates on the gift certificates?

All gift certificates from Quebec businesses can never expire, whether you purchase them on our website or directly from a merchant, since expiration dates are prohibited on gift certificates since June 30, 2010 in Quebec.

SHOPICO.ca - Atlantic: An expiration date is added for promotional purposes or when gift certificates are sold at a reduced price to customers.

Which search browsers are compatible with SHOPICO.ca?

The search browsers compatible with SHOPICO.ca are the following: Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, FireFox, Explorer 8.

How to retrieve your username and password?

Username: Click on "Forgot your username?" in the login area. You will be asked to enter your name, email address and date of birth (for identification purposes). Your username will then be emailed to you.

Password: Click on "Forgot your password?" in the login area. You will be asked to enter your username and email address. You will then be asked to answer your security question in order to reset your password.

If you are still having trouble logging in, please contact [email protected] and include your full name, email address and date of birth in your request.

How to create or modify a profile?

To register, click on "Register" at the top of the website, fill out the form as indicated and click "Continue".

To edit your profile, log in to your account, select the "Profile" option at the top right of the page, then click "Edit Profile" at the bottom. Your already completed registration form will open. This is where you can change your personal information, such as your home address, credit card, email address, etc.

How does mailing gift certificates work?

Shipping fees ($5) are automatically applied to each transaction. To reduce your shipping costs, be sure to group all your purchases in the same transaction.

We work closely with Canada Post for all our mailings, through their "Expedited Parcel" service. All packages are sent to Canada Post every Thursday and are delivered within 3 business days. This time may vary depending on the request to Canada Post.

* Please note that it is your responsibility to validate the accuracy of your current address before completing any transaction. Additional fees will be charged for any change of address (during delivery) or any redirection of a gift certificate.

 

Why is there a delivery charge added to the invoice?

Some merchants have opted instead to offer you real gift certificates, still with no expiration date, directly from their business. These gift certificates are treated like cash since your name is not on the gift certificates. Therefore, we have opted for Canada Post's "Expedited Parcel" service, which allows us to track your shipments with the help of the tracking number and thus confirm their receipt.

In case of loss of envelope by Canada Post, we can offer you a full refund, which would not be possible with a simple postage stamp.

Delivery in Quebec: A 5$ fee is automatically applied on each delivery anywhere in Quebec.

Delivery in the Maritimes: A fee of $1 is automatically applied for each delivery to Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.

Why does it say that all gift certificates have already been sold by 10:00 a.m. this Wednesday?

All offers posted on SHOPICO.ca have a limited amount of gift certificates. Since thousands of customers log on every Wednesday morning to take advantage of the new weekly offers, some gift certificates are gone more quickly than others. Unfortunately, you'll have to try your luck again next Wednesday.

When and how do I receive my gift certificate?

No gift certificates are sent by email. Some gift certificates are sent by mail. Most gift certificates are now electronic. You have the option of saving it directly to your cell phone or printing it.

Here are the steps to follow to find your purchases:

  1. Log in;
  2. Click on "Profile" and then "View my purchases";
  3. Select the desired gift certificate and click on "Print Gift Certificate";
  4. The print window will open. You will have to select (in "Destination") your printer. You can also select "Print in PDF format", to download it to your cell phone.

* Please note that the merchant will ask you for the gift certificate reference number and/or QR code in order to apply your discount. Make sure that both of these pieces of information are clearly visible to the merchant.

How do the taxes on gift certificates work?

Taxes are included when purchasing gift certificates on SHOPICO.ca. When redeeming your gift certificate at a retailer, taxes are applied after the gift certificate has been used, as they are calculated on the price of the product/service being purchased. In some cases, merchants are not able to apply the after-tax discount on their cash register and therefore resort to a calculation to obtain the same result.

A gift certificate is considered money and can be used to pay taxes. However, a seller cannot ask you to pay taxes separately.

Still haven't received your gift certificate in the mail?

You have 60 days from the date of purchase to notify us if you have not received your purchases by mail. After this period, it is unfortunately no longer possible for us to track your delivery with Canada Post. Failure to notify us of a purchase not received within 60 days of the date of purchase will result in all shipments being considered received and will not be replaced or refunded.

Lost your gift certificate and want to get a new one?

Since all mailed gift certificates have no reference number, merchants and SHOPICO.ca cannot ensure that the gift certificate has not been used. Therefore, your gift certificate cannot be replaced or refunded.

Any mail-in gift certificate is considered as cash and cannot be cancelled.

Why does it say that the transaction was cancelled?

Your credit card may not have been entered correctly. Please verify that all your credit card information is correct and confirm that it is still valid. Please note that you can always modify your personal information in your "Profile" section. Only regular or prepaid Visa and Mastercard will be accepted on SHOPICO.ca.

Also, it may happen that your bank does not recognize our website or that your credit card does not have enough funds (credit limit exceeded). Do not hesitate to contact your banking institution if this concerns you.

Why was your credit card charged twice?

When you create your profile for the first time, it happens that a transaction is billed twice on VISA Desjardins credit cards. In fact, the first one is billed and the second one is pending billing. Rest assured that we will not claim this second amount. This is the imprint of your credit card when you first create your profile. Normally, the imprint clears itself within 7-10 days. If you still see this unbilled amount next week, please contact [email protected].

Why are you charged $0.50 after making changes to your profile?

Rest assured that we will not claim this amount. This is the validation of your credit card when you create your profile on the site. Normally, the imprint will erase itself within a few days of creation. Do not hesitate to contact [email protected] if you have any questions.

Is it possible to purchase multiple gift certificates from the same merchant?

Each transaction has a purchase limit of two gift certificates per offer. Therefore, you can purchase multiple gift certificates from the same merchant on multiple transactions independently. You can also purchase multiple gift certificates from different merchants on the same transaction.

You have changed your mind and would like to return your purchase?

Unfortunately, all sales on SHOPICO.ca are final. No returns or refunds will be accepted as our quantities are limited.

A business has closed and you want a refund for your purchases?

In accordance with applicable laws, it is the merchant who is responsible for providing the goods or services you purchase on SHOPICO.ca and not Bell Media, which acts as an intermediary and not as a seller. Although Bell Media is not legally obligated to reimburse you in the event that the merchant refuses to honor the gift certificate in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth therein or in the event that the merchant ceases to operate (such as in the event of bankruptcy), Bell Media may decide, at its sole and absolute discretion, to compensate you in order to provide its customers with the best possible service. In such a case, a refund or credit will only be possible within the first year following the date of purchase of the gift certificate on SHOPICO.ca.

How to delete a profile?

Please contact [email protected] with your request, including your full name associated with the profile and your date of birth (for identification purposes). You will receive an email from SHOPICO.ca once the profile deletion procedure is completed.
